About Matt

Well, my name is Matt Williams, and you’re currently on my blog.

I’ve been involved in website development for a little over 11 years, working for startups and enterprises in pretty every much every continent throughout the world. I specialize in highly concurrent and scalable platform development, and have worked as chief architect for a number of well-known (and not so well-known) brands.

Im going to be hitting 30 shortly, and have decided to take the plunge and start my own business at Makeable. It’s currently very early days (launching January 2009), and I’m working with some great people as part of a media cooperative in Cardiff, South Wales. Like every man and his dog, we’re in the process of developing a social media platform.

Im passionate about food - most of my disposable income goes in that direction. It’s the reason I still haven’t purchased a MacBook Pro! (fortunately my powerbook is still serving me well).

When I’m not in front of the computer I can usually be found spending time with my partner or chilling out on the beach.
